What is Et ole yksin (You are not alone) service
Et ole yksin service is run by the Family Federation of Finland. Our aim is to prevent and reduce inappropriate behavior, bullying, sexual harassment, and all forms of violence in sports and in children’s and young people’s recreational activities. We help victims of inappropriate behavior, harassment, violence, or bullying, as well as the victim’s loved ones.
Et ole yksin is Finland’s first targeted support service, where people who have been subjected to sexual violence, harassment, inappropriate behavior, or bullying in their leisure activities can contact to get help.
In addition to providing a nationwide support service, we aim to increases the knowledge of parents and other care takers, sports- and hobbyclubs, organizations, and sports associations about preventing and intervening violence and harassment. We organise training for clubs and organisations and produce information and free, easy-to-use materials. We have also produced a free online course in english for coaches, employees and volunteers of sports clubs on preventing and addressing violence against children in sports.
